Big trucks, little fans: the SCV Education Foundation’s fifth annual Touch-A-Truck is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 7, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Central Park in Santa Clarita.

The foundation’s event announcement lists fire trucks, police vehicles, construction rigs, utility vehicles and a helicopter, along with kid-friendly activities, entertainment, vendor booths and food trucks.

Admission is $5. The organizer’s ticket page says children under 2 are free, adults need tickets and all children must be accompanied by an adult. Online presales ended Friday evening, but the foundation says tickets are available at the event ticket booth.

Roaming Railroads trackless train rides cost an additional $5 and are not included in admission. The announcement also lists a free SCV Water station for guests.

The event supports the foundation’s work providing books, teacher grants, scholarships and other programs for local public school districts.

Before heading out, check the foundation’s event page for any last-minute changes. Strong winds are forecast in the Santa Clarita Valley today, according to The Signal’s report citing the National Weather Service.
