A Valencia dining spot is gone almost overnight. Solita Tacos abruptly closed its Valencia Town Center location last Thursday - mid-lunch service, with guests still dining inside.

Passersby spotted a paper sign taped to the door reading “sorry, we’re closed” in red marker. Later that day, a U-Haul truck and dumpster appeared as a team of nearly a dozen people cleared the space. By Friday morning, the restaurant had been gutted.

A poster on the front window announced “with a heavy heart” that the location was permanently closed, and invited guests to visit its sister location, El Torito, in Northridge.

Solita opened the Valencia location in February 2015, serving reimagined Mexican favorites and a wide range of margaritas. KHTS reached out to the restaurant for comment on the sudden closure but had not received a response.
