Halloween Carnival & Haunted Jail House - Sunday: The SCV Sheriff’s Station throws its annual Halloween bash Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 26201 Golden Valley Road. Live entertainment, food trucks, games, vendors, and the Haunted Jail House itself. $5 donation. Park at the Santa Clarita Aquatic Center and take the free shuttle.

Circus Vargas - final shows through Monday: Last call. The big top at Valencia Town Center packs up after Monday, Oct. 19. Two hours of aerialists, high-wire and the Globe of Death. Tickets run $25 to $90, kids under 2 free. Details at tickets.circusvargas.com.

Jeepers Creepers Run - Sunday: Full marathon, half, 10K and 5K starting at 7 a.m. from Heritage Park, all on the bike path so no car traffic. Street tacos at the finish. Details at jeeperscreepersmarathon.com.

One heads-up: the Red Flag Warning runs until 8 p.m. tonight, so expect gusty winds if you’re out this evening. Sunday looks calmer.
