Families considering Academy of the Canyons for an incoming 10th- or 11th-grade student in 2027-28 have an in-person information night Tuesday, Nov. 10.

The session runs from 6 to 8 p.m. at the College of the Canyons University Center, 26455 North Rockwell Canyon Road, according to the school’s admissions announcement. Attendance at an information night is a required step in the application process.

Academy of the Canyons is a small alternative public high school in the William S. Hart Union High School District, located on COC’s Valencia campus. Students take high school classes and college courses, with opportunities to earn transferable credit and, for some, an associate degree.

Admission is open to students living within Hart District boundaries and uses an application and lottery process beginning in November. Attending the meeting does not guarantee admission.

Families can sign up through the school’s linked registration form: https://forms.gle/upXrH91fpa2ffGiV7 . The form says seating is limited and attendance will be taken.

The school's announcement lists separate ninth-grade sessions on Nov. 4 and 5, which have passed. Families with questions about their student's grade level or a missed session should contact [email protected].
